Hockey History: Lorne Chabot(sky)

The NHL is very rich in history, from great players, to great expansions the NHL has long been a staple mark for entertainment. Many great Hockey players played in the early years of the NHL and their play went undocumented. Unlike now, media didn’t have social networking to spread news of how great ones performance was on any given night. Regular Season Primer.

With the start of the NHL regular season just a few days away it’s hard to control the excitement that surrounds such a great sport. The Capitals ended their preseason with a 5-2 win against Carolina on Sunday, and ended with a 5-3-0 record. Washington struggled on the road this preseason posting a 1-3-0 record, but went undefeated at home winning all 4 games at Verizon center. With new coach, Barry Trotz, leading the regime Washington looks to get back into the Playoffs for their 25th time and look to capture Lord Stanley for the first time in franchise history.   Continue reading
