PREVIEW: Caps Take on Pens for First Time in Two Nights

PENGUINS (42-17-4) at CAPITALS (30-25-10)

The rivalry is back again. The black against the red. The high flying Pens against the struggling Caps. Sid the Kid against the Great Eight. Pittsburgh against Washington DC. The Washington Capitals against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Ohhhhh boy I don’t think you understand how excited I am for this game. The long awaited Evgeny Kuznetsov will be making his Capitals debut tonight. #KuzyaWatch is finally over!  Kuzya will be playing on the fourth line with Tom Wilson and Jay Beagle. Brooks Laich will be a game-time decision after a great game against the Coyotes. Jaroslav Halak will be making his second straight start for the Caps following his 3-2 win against the Coyotes.

Here are the Caps lines for tonight’s game per Katie Carrera:

The D-pairs have not been officially announced but my best assumptions would be:

This will be the Caps first meeting with the Penguins in two days. First time in DC, second time in Pittsburgh. Will the Caps be able to cool off the hot Penguins? Only time will tell.
