Where do the Capitals Stand in the Standings?

The Washington Capitals sit one point behind the Maple Leafs and Red Wings for a wild card position. The Capitals have 25 ROW, regular/overtime wins, and have played one more game than both the Blue Jackets and the Red Wings.

The Capitals have 10 more games remaining in their season, a possible 20 points are up for grab.  The Capitals have a tough road ahead, the Red Wings and the Blue Jackets will also face tough teams in their playoff push. The Capitals must take advantage of the weak schedule starting on April 1st. The Stars, Devils, Islanders and Hurricanes are must ROW wins for this team. The Capitals are currently on a 5-4-1 run, they also grabbed 5/6 points in the tough California road trip.

Maple Leafs Schedule: Toronto has nine more games left on their slate. They have an easier schedule than other teams but will play St. Louis, Philadelphia, and Boston. Out of the nine games they play five at home. Screen Shot 2014-03-24 at 11.06.24 AM

The Blue Jackets Schedule:  Columbus has the most games left, they will play 11 more times. They have a tough schedule ahead, and play six more times at home. They will play Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Colorado. Screen Shot 2014-03-24 at 11.09.23 AM

Time to put our rally caps on and finish the comeback to berth a playoff position.
